We had our 100th day of school yesterday, but we had our celebration today. I just couldn't get my act together to get everything ready yesterday. So, we had our fun today, on the 101st day of school. Don't worry, Lachlan kept reminding me that it wasn't actually our 100th day today. He is such a stickler for the rules and how things are supposed to be. He keeps me on my toes, although I still don't do everything I'm supposed to do! I think, more than prepare so that he stays happy, I just get myself mentally ready for his wrath. Anyway, I digress. Here are some photos from our 100th day celebration/our 101st day of school.

This was our special 100 day snack. A pretzel and two donuts. The perfect snack (or in our case breakfast...don't tell anybody)! |

Enjoying our breakfast, a I mean snack. |

They actually wrote 100, 100 times! I was so impressed. Talk about determination! |

Lachlan's journal entry about what his mommy asks him to do 100 times. |

Aevie's journal entry. She said I ask her to clean her room 100 times. Me? Really? Ok, maybe she's right. |

Proof of writing 100, 100 times. |

Happy with their royal 100 day crowns. |
We also did ten exercises ten times to equal 100. That math was blowing the kids minds! We counted how many jumps and spins they could do in 100 seconds too. Those were some fun 100 day activities. The kids got into trying to do as many things as they could in 100 seconds. They also ran for 100 seconds, but I didn't know how to count running. Anyone? All around it was a fun day. I think the kids enjoyed everything even if it was technically our 101st day.
I have a hundred great things to say about the way you are teaching your children. I wished a hundred times I could be there to watch. And, I bet you have a hundred more new ideas that you haven't even mentioned. Congratulations on your first hundred days. You have certainly accomplished more in your first hundred days than _____________________ (fill in the blank).
ReplyDeleteI agree with 'south dennis', I have a hundred great things to say about the way you are teaching your children too!
ReplyDeleteYour children are very blessed to have an amazing mother like you as their teacher. Congratulations on your 100th day of school!! (or really 101st day 100th day celebration)
